Server At Olive Garden Saves 2 Abused Children After Seeing Baby’s Face

There is an old saying that if you see something, you should say something and there are also times in which you should do something. This is especially true if it is a matter that involves a child who is abused. The difficulty is, many people find it hard to speak up in such a situation but that doesn’t include everybody. Some people put their best foot forward and take up all of the bravery they can from inside themselves to do something about a situation. When Jordan Cooper saw something, she certainly decided she would do something. She works part-time at the Olive Garden as a waitress and she is also a mother-to-be from Paris, Tennessee. Typically, she may not have been brave enough to do something but what she saw made her realize that something needed to be done right away. She doesn’t typically work on Saturday night but thankfully, she was working this evening. She was helping a couple at a table with two young children and she knew inside of herself that something was wrong. I was particularly true of the baby who was not even two years old. She said in an interview: “I can’t even describe to you how bad she looked and how and why nobody noticed it.” It was posted on Facebook and since then, it has been deleted. She described the baby’s face as being ‘black and blue all over’. She then said how the man was handling the young girl in a harsh way, grabbing her to take her to the bathroom and force-feeding her. Her quick thinking put the couple behind bars with $200,000 bond each. Cooper took a picture of the man in the background with the help of another table. “I had slid them my number, and they sent [the photos] to me as soon as they walked out the door,” Cooper shared with WPSD. She also took down the license plate number and called 911 to get DCF involved. Aaron Caldwell took the call as the 911 dispatcher and wrote down the information. They also got additional details from Facebook. “She put it online and when I found it. It had 1,400 shares,” Caldwell shared with WSIL. “It just so happened that we knew each other and I’m a dispatcher.” The parents, Mark Lee Pierce and Jessica Woodworth are now being charged with aggravated child abuse and neglect. The children are in a safe place. The original post is no longer available on the news station because it was removed. They did do a follow-up, however, to let people know that they were safe “I deleted the post but the baby is found and the… parents are in custody,” she wrote. “My heart can now be at rest. Thank you to everyone who helped me find these terrible people!
