Most of us have had those moments where I mind slips a bit — such as those times we find ourselves standing in a room without the foggiest notion of why we walked in there. Or how about those times when you forget the name of a person you’ve known for years. And, how about those times in school when the teacher asked a question, and the answer is right there, just on the tip of your tongue? Our brains are lovely machines, but truth-be-told, it’s sort of like a blender. The information that we perceive as “memories” are often a collection of impressions washed over minds over time.
This is how we can remember specific details of events but not others. Or how two people can have very different memories of the same event. Our minds interpret the world; even as you’re reading this right now, your mind is jumbling up all these images and splattering them in your brain, which then forms a recognizable context. It’ can be some mind-bending stuff when you start talking about the nature of reality. And speaking of mind-bending experiences, have you ever made the mistake of getting into a car that looks just like yours? I can’t count how many times I’ve done this, especially when I get a new (used) car. One man noticed that his mom had made this mistake upon exiting a store. Being a good son, he did what any loving child would do in this day and age. He picked up his phone and pressed record.

In the video, you don’t actually see his mom get into the other vehicle. However, you do see the polite driver of that vehicle knock on the passenger window and very politely inform her that she’s in the wrong car. As this is happening, the son filming the incident is trying his best not to laugh up a lung!
