After Being Married To Michael J. Fox For 30 Years, His Wife Shares A Truth We Should’ve Known All Along

If we have been around for a few decades, we probably remember Michael J Fox as a young teenager growing up on Family Ties. He got his start on that show but it wasn’t long before he was starring in some of the most popular movies of the day, including Teen Wolf and the Back to the Future series. Some of those movies we probably still remember very clearly and we might even be able to quote many of the lines from those movies by heart. His acting career was really taking off but unfortunately, he experienced something at the age of 29 that really took a toll. It was at that time that he was married to his wife, Tracy Pollan and they were enjoying a new baby. It seemed as though everything was going in the right direction but then he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Although it slowed him down a little, it certainly didn’t stop him and he and Tracy went on to have three more children. Now that they have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary, they deal with his diagnosis in the best way that they can. Even though the Canadian-American actor is not able to star in movies in the same way as he did before, he still provides the voice role for many films. There are also times when he makes cameo appearances and is seen in documentaries. Through all of the ups and downs, his wife Tracy has been the one constant in his life. They were on the set of Family Ties when they were much younger and they have been together ever since. Tracy was playing the part of Michael’s girlfriend in the show and eventually, they got married at the Vermont Inn in 1988. Ten months later, their first child was born and two years later, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Michael and Tracy both have a love of acting as well as a love for each other. Michael dropped out of high school and was a military child. He didn’t earn his GED until he was in his 30s. Tracy attended the Lee Strasburg University and grew up in a Jewish New York family. Both of them are middle children and they both love to laugh. Tracy said that they are a big support to each other and that has been true since the beginning of their marriage. That marriage was based on a commitment and love and they still love each other. “It was us against the world. That’s exactly what we’ve created … Just give each other the benefit of the doubt. He assumes I’m doing the best I can.” Michael realizes that life can change very quickly. He has been diagnosed with a very serious health problem but he doesn’t allow it to control him. “Find the best things about you and the best things about life and celebrate them.” They are facing the struggles of Parkinson’s disease after 30 years of happy married life together. They are also hoping for a cure but regardless of what happens, they remain close to each other and are a strong family.
