Dad Asks Toddler Daughter To Sing ‘Old MacDonald’ But She Had Her Own Halarious Adaptation

Certain childhood traditions just seem to stand the test of time. Games like tag and hide & seek, are just two examples of games kids hundreds of years of go might have played that children still play today. And, when it comes to the classics, there’s nothing like a good nursery rhyme. But did you know that many nursery rhymes have some pretty messed up backstories? Take "London Bridge is Falling Down,” for example, a nursery rhyme that even has its own little dance.

Without getting too much into the details, let’s just say there’s one theory about the origins of the rhyme that involves human sacrifice. Classy. And let’s not even talk about "Ring Around the Rosie,” I mean seriously, folks. Who makes a nursery rhyme about the Black Plague?  Really? Who does that? Thankfully, some of our more modern-day nursery rhymes like "Old MacDonald” don’t have all the creepy baggage other nursery rhymes have. This tune is a take on "Old Macdougal Had A Farm,” a nursery rhyme that was first published in 1917.

There are now dark or hidden mysteries in this one folk; it was just the result of good old American capitalism.  And there’s no cuter person to perform this song than the little girl in this video, who, when asked by her dad, gave an extraordinary live-in-concert remix of the classic tune. You’ve just got to love how the little girl takes her time and mutters to herself a bit before returning to the song; it’s just priceless! By far, the best version of the song I’ve heard to date! You can watch her adorable performance in the video below.
