Instagram allows parents to be able to monitor the accounts of their kids

Instagram, one of the social media platforms of Meta Group, has recently announced that they added a new control tool for parents to allow them to monitor their children’s accounts.

It has been reported by Agence France-Presse that this new feature can’t be activated without the acceptance of the kids’ accounts as they receive an invitation and their acceptance is the condition to activate it.

Public Affairs Officer at Meta Group in France called Clotilde Brien said that it is a great tool for both parents and kids as it keeps the parents involved in everything their kids do without taking off their independence and privacy of them.

However, you can use this tool to limit their screen time by scheduling breaks, or by putting the time you want from 15 mins to 120 mins. Furthermore, parents can also be able to see the people their kids follow, which gives them full monitoring of their kids. Anyway, the kids can also tell their parents about inappropriate content they intervene in, which makes this tool so great.

This feature will be available in the US, Australia, Canada, Japan, Ireland, the UK, Germany, and France by the end of June, and by the end of this year, it’ll be available all over the world.
