Man Freezes Food Coloring And Water In Pans, Builds Amazing Glowing Igloo In His Backyard

Winter is in full swing. Some people have gotten more snow than they can handle! To make the best out of the snow, some people like to build a snowman, go sledding or go skiing. When I was a kid, every winter, the dad across the street from us always make an igloo for his son in their front yard.

Being good neighbors, we would help him play in it! But it wasn’t really an igloo is was just a ‘snow fort.’ But calling it an igloo made is sound much cooler! Reddit user cyrzee13 makes real igloos in the winter. But, his igloos are unlike any other you have ever seen!

The first step is to freeze your ice blocks in foil pans. To make a designer igloo, use food coloring in the water.

Next, you need a foundation of packed snow.

The ice blocks have to be slightly angled on the first level.

Keep going around and around, making sure the blocks tilt slightly. You may need some supports until the blocks freeze together.

The ‘mortar’ is just a slush from the snow and ice.

A random pattern of the colored blocks makes the igloo unique!

As you finish, be sure to leave room for the ‘door.’ The doorway can be made as an arch with the leftover blocks.

If you have significant gaps left, you can simply fill those in with the slush ‘mortar.’ TA DA! It is done!
