Nearly Identical Twin Baseball Players Are Complete Strangers Who Tested Their DNA To See if They Are Related

Have you ever met someone who looked just like someone else you knew? Maybe you told that person, “I swear you’re related!” and perhaps even took photos to send to your lookalike friends. But what would you do if you met someone who looked just like you? Would it freak you out? How would you feel if you then found out that this person has the exact same name as you do? And then you find out that they play minor league baseball for a living, the same as you. I imagine you’d be pretty spooked. I know I would be! It makes the myth of the doppelganger all too real. Well, that’s exactly what happened to two guys named Brady Feigl. Neither of the men has ever met anyone else with their surname before, much less their exact name. Both Brady Feigls stands 6’4″ tall. They’re both red-headed. And have red beards. And they both wear glasses. Nearly identical glasses, at that. Their likeness came to light when it started creating some confusion in their work. Also, they’re both baseball pitchers. One pitches for the Oakland A’s and the other for the Texas Rangers’ Double-A club. It gets even eerier. Turns out, both of them underwent a surgery called Tommy John surgery and even used the same doctor. When asked if they believed they were related, the men said that they did not. That wasn’t good enough for Inside Edition, however, so they did a DNA test on the guys, with their permission, of course. As it turns out, the DNA test indicates that they’re not a perfect match. The way it’s explained in the video suggests that there’s zero chance that they’re related, but that’s going based just on the numbers of percentages of various regional backgrounds. Who knows? A deeper DNA test may reveal that these two gentlemen do have a common ancestor. At any rate, they say they’ll always be brothers in a way. Watch the video below, and you be the judge.
