People Are Going Crazy Trying To Spot The Hidden Cat In This Photo
As the owner of 15 cats, three of which are black, I can tell you for a fact that they can be some of the hardest cats to find in the dark or even during the day. We took in two black kittens, who we named Lizzy and Kobe from our neighbor’s litter. But, a few months later, their other two siblings found their way into our yard, and with our neighbor’s permission, we took them in as well, naming them Pinky and Limey. Sadly, Limey passed away a year ago; we’re unsure what the cause of death was, but it was sudden, and we think it may have been due to him eating a spider.
Anyway, all of our black cats have pretty laid back personalities, but they are also intensely affectionate, and I’m willing to bet that Chiqinho is no different. It also seems he has quite the talent for finding the perfect spots to disappear into his environment, something that drives his mom, Alessandra Ribeiro, nuts sometimes. One day she decided to take a photo fo Chiquinho relaxing in her kitchen and shared it online. The photo soon went viral, with even the keenest observers unable to find her cat. Take a look at the photo below and see for yourself.

How did you do? If you need a clue, here’s what Chiqinho looks like.

Still can’t find him? Well, take heart because you’re not alone. Here’s where he’s hiding.

Chiqinho is actually pretty visible. It’s just that his pitch-black fur perfectly blends in with the countertop. But, as with most black cats, his yellow eyes are a dead give away!

You see, he was starring at you the entire time. That’s how it goes with black cats.
“He loves being sneaky,” Ribeiro told The Dodo. “We are sometimes surprised by the places he hides.”

Chiqinho loves playing hide, and seek. And like our black cat’s this handsome boy’s always down for a good snuggle.
“He is a very loving cat,” Ribeiro said. “He brings us a lot of happiness by being himself — and a lot of laughter when we find him hiding.”

I’m sure he does. Be sure to show this to your friends and family and see if they can find Chiqinho.
