22 Years After Marrying His Wife, Pierce Brosnan Comes Clean

When it comes to celebrity marriages, most of us feel that they are here today, gone tomorrow. In fact, between the paparazzi and the fans, it seems as if everybody is just waiting around for the celebrity marriage to end. It’s little wonder that it takes place that way on a regular basis. After all, the celebrities are under so much pressure and they are constantly in the public eye that it has to carry over into their marriage. Even though it may be true that Hollywood marriages don’t last very long, that isn’t the case across the board. In fact, there are some Hollywood couples that have been together for a very long time and Pierce Brosnan is in one of those marriages.

Women have always seemed to have a thing for Pierce Brosnan but he seems to have a thing for his wife. He is devoted to their marriage as well as to their five children. His wife is Keely Smith and they have been together for over two decades. Not only are they life partners, they are best friends. That is why everybody was anticipating something so special when they had their 17th anniversary.

He knew that there was something special about his future wife from the moment that they met. He shared the following in an interview as to why he was attracted to her:

“I love her vitality, her passion. She has the strength that I would not be able to live without. When Keeley looks at me, I go weak.”

They may have hectic schedules between their careers, their children and filming but they still find the time to spend with each other.

“My wife and I took a short road trip up to Santa Barbara – we were going for a romantic weekend and to look at houses and drink great wine. We didn’t listen to any music, but we just listened to the sounds of each other’s voices and sorted out the world.”

They have enough money that they could walk away from the Hollywood life and do anything that they wanted but they choose to spend time with each other between jobs.

Perhaps this is a connection that caused him to post on social media on his wedding anniversary. He said that he loved his wife on Instagram to over 600,000 followers.

“Thank you for the love my love of these past 25 years, onwards.”

They been together through good times and bad. Marriage doesn’t always do well in Hollywood but this couple is making it work.
