Property Brothers Deliver Powerful Heartfelt Performance in ‘Hold On’

Most Americans know these two men as the “Property Brothers.” In fact, Drew and Jonathan Scott are arguably the two hunkiest twins on TV! They host their own wildly popular show on HGTV in which they fix up houses or find new ones for grateful families. However, in 2016, the brothers showed a different side to themselves when they released an amazing song and music video titled “Hold On.” The brother explained to Entertainment Tonight how as kids growing up on a ranch, they would spend nights playing guitar around a campfire and singing beautiful songs with their parents. Doesn’t that sound Idyllic? However, they never thought much about taking their talents to the professional level until they were filming their special titled Property Brothers: At Home on the Ranch. In the show, the brothers travel back to their native Rocky Mountains to help one of their old friends renovate his ranch. While filming their show, the brothers started to talk with a Nashville-based music producer. They decided that they wanted to record a song for their special wish would be a tribute to their childhood. And that’s when they came up with the song “Hold On.”  The brothers say the writing process was pretty quick and easy since it was a song that meant so much to them.
The lyrics really capture the feeling of wishing to return home no matter how long someone has been away or how many other places they’ve been.

They shot the music videos within an intense two and a half days. They began the first day at 3 am because they wished to catch the light from the gorgeous Smoky Mountain sunrise.

However, they also wished to do the same for at sunset, so this made it a pretty long day of filming. However, the results were well worth their efforts! Check out the property brothers singing “Hold On” in the video below.
