The Akhal-Teke are a very rare breed of horse that is quite different from any other horse you have probably ever seen. They come from Turkmenistan and the shining blonde coats that each of them carry makes them beautiful above and beyond.

Akhal-Teke are known as ‘horses from heaven’ in China. There are only about 1,250 of these horses in the world, and each of them has a unique structure in their hair that makes them beautiful.
It is the way that the proteins arrange themselves within the horses’ hair that causes light to reflect. It is the way that it reflects that makes it look like metal.
These horses are beautiful to see in pictures but seeing them in person is certain to be breathtaking.
