If you were a teenager in the 1970s or 1980s, there’s a good chance you had a ripped out page of Tiger Beat Magazine on your wall. Likely you had more than one page, and one of them may have been heartthrob Shaun Cassidy. Shaun Cassidy got his start in the TV series “The Hardy Boy Mysteries,” and also acted in “Breaking Away” and the soap opera “General Hospital.”  After his career on TV, Cassidy focused his efforts on being a theater actor, performing on the West End of London and on Broadway. And since the mid-90s, he’s been a TV producer and writer who’s created several hit shows such as American Gothic, Invasion, and Roar. But back during his early years, Cassidy was one of America’s favorite teen heartthrobs. A frequent face on teen magazines such as Tiger Beat, Teen Beat, and TeenView. Cassidy signed a music contract while he was still in high school. And recorded his first solo album, titled Shaun Cassidy, in 1977. His hit multi-platinum album featured the number one hit song “Da Doo Ron Ron,” which earned him a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.
