Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock Recreate The Popular Giant Piano Scene From The Movie ‘Big’

Academy Award-winning actor Tom Hanks is perhaps the biggest name in Hollywood and one of the world’s most recognizable celebrities. Throughout his impressive career, Hanks has played many different characters, some of them somber and dramatic, others silly, heartwarming and whimsical. He’s one of the few actors in Hollywood who has the versatility to do both comedy and drama, sometimes within the same movie. Many people feel that his secret to success is his likable personality, which shines through in every role he plays. While other’s just think the man was born with the gift of being a great actor. It’s hard to pinpoint the secret; we just know we love watching Tom Hanks act! While movies like Forrest Gump, Splash, Sleepless in Seattle and Saving Private Ryan are considered some of his best films, Hanks also has a few kids movies to his credit. For instance, Hanks is the voice behind Disney’s Toy Story character Woody. But, he also has a 1988 kids film with more of a cult following titled “Big,” in which Hanks plays the role of Josh Baskin, a boy who makes a wish to be an adult or “to be big” and then is magically aged to adulthood overnight. In the movie, there is an iconic scene in which Hanks, who’s a young boy in a man’s body, plays on an oversized foot-operated piano with the owner of the toy company he works for (don’t ask how he got the job folks, just go with it). This scene became the movie’s calling card. A few years ago, Hanks made an appearance on the “Jonathan Ross Show,” and the host asked the actor if he wouldn’t mind recreating his iconic scene on their walking piano. Hanks walked over to the piano, more than happy to play a few notes. But soon, he was joined by an old friend, actress Sandra Bullock, and the two went on to play “chopsticks” together on the big piano. You can check out the entire skit in the video below.
