Woman Creates Gown For A Ball But When She Spins It Transforms Beautifully

When was the last time you were asked to go to a ball? If you are like most people, the opportunity is not going to come up very often in your lifetime. When you do get that invitation, however, you want to make sure you are taking your very best along with you.

For some people, this means going out and shopping for a new dress but for one woman, a talent was discovered that she really didn’t know she had. It was hiding under the surface but it came forward in a most beautiful way. Ivy Thompson lives in Seattle and was invited to a masquerade ball. She didn’t want to go with a simplistic outfit, she wanted to go with something incredible. Her gown needed to look as if she were more than a Disney Princess, she wanted to be her very own fairytale. The problem is, she didn’t think that such a dress existed so she decided to get creative and make her own. By the time she was finished, she had even amazed herself.

Ivy didn’t realize she had this particular skill and she didn’t know how to sew this way before she started. She knew that her mother and grandmother had enjoyed it, but she never really took part in the craft. A design by Disney inspired her and she thought about Cinderella when making the dress. She wanted something that would transform her into a butterfly and she had her work cut out for her.

Laces were included on the back of the dress and a snap panel on the front. It wasn’t long before the concept came together. She would pull a cord and the dress would turn her into a monarch butterfly. It looks like magic is happening right in front of our very eyes! You can see it happening in this video:
