Ivana Pino Arellano, affectionately known as "La Rancherita de Chanco," has tragically passed away in a car accident on the M-80 road near Pelluhue, Chile. The beloved country singer died at the scene just one day after celebrating her 32nd birthday. Her companion survived but sustained serious injuries after the vehicle overturned amid rainy conditions.
Photographs from the crash site show the heavily damaged car resting on its side against a wall, concealed beneath an orange sheet. A devoted mother of four and an emerging talent in the music industry, Arellano was widely admired for her ability to fuse traditional Latin American sounds with contemporary influences.
The Municipality of Chanco confirmed her death, offering a heartfelt tribute: "Ivana personified the spirit of public service with passion and love." They added, "Your departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but your legacy will endure through the course of time."
Family, friends, and fans gathered to bid her farewell at Curanipe Parish Cemetery on June 17. In a final message of gratitude, the Municipality of Chanco reflected, "Thank you, Ivana, for providing us with days that are filled with light and happiness."
